As well as having a 12th Century Cathedral and bishop's palace, Dornoch's main attraction is Royal Dornoch Golf Club.
The championship course brings players from around the world, while the second, 'Struie' course is hardly less challenging.
If golf's not your thing and you just want to relax and enjoy our clean air and amazing wildlife, the choices are almost endless. There are miles of empty golden sands, where you might see seals, dolphin, diving gannets or even a pod of Orca!
Eight miles away is Dunrobin Castle, the largest house in the Highlands and home of the Dukes of Sutherland. Looking almost like something from Walt Disney, it's open to the public.

Famed for being the
home of one of the
greatest golf courses
in the World, Dornoch
boasts two exceptional
courses, the Championship
and the Struie.
